Victory Motorcycles
The American Victory Motorcycle Company has dared to emerge as a Harley-Davidson competitor and they manage to put out a high-quality product
that gives them the right to do so. They certainly don't have the hundred-year-old history of Milwaukee's Harley-Davidson, but this Polaris owned
company is home to Minnesota's 50 year-old manufacturer of snowmobiles -- giving them the know how to engineering some pretty tough and powerful
machines.
The American Victory Motorcycle Company manufactures cruisers and touring bikes but no motocross and trail riders. Both cruisers and touring
bikes possess a nearly 66 inch wheel base, a 5.8 inch ground clearance, wide rear tires and generous seating. Comfort and stability are this
company's main selling point.
Their huge V-twin engines (100ci, around 1600cc) put out mammoth power from a pair of twin pipes. And both their torque and horsepower
seemingly increase in newer machines almost every year.
Of course, the American Victory Motorcycle Company isn't just power-hungry. They're also stylish. Their clean lines, tanks and accessories
easily identify motorcycles built by this manufacturer and it's plain to see that they have no intention on becoming Harley-Davidson knockoffs.
They are instead, dead set on building American originals.
Upholding the tradition in motorcycle design, the American Victory Motorcycle Company retains the classic look of the yesteryear's bikes with
a long, low wide frame with a great feel to the road. Yet they offer customization as well. Over the years, building customized motorcycles has
become a tradition in itself and this company makes no exception. Hammers, Vegases, Kingpins or other American Victory models that are different
from the standard production models can have it just for the asking.
With the American Victory Motorcycle Company, it's basically follows the principle of " You design it, we build it." There's nothing that
can't be customized from a simple paint job, raked forks, special pipes and engine options to wheel choices, paint and decal designs. If that
weren't enough, there are dozens of after market parts and accessories manufacturers and distributors that can supply just what's needed to turn
an American bike into an individual bike.
Motorcycle clubs focused on American Victory motorcycles are emerging all however the U.S. too. Even in the UK, memberships are reaching into
the thousands. But this isn't really surprising. There are hundreds of websites and a few major rallies that focus on the American Victory
motorcycle and the American Victory Rally held near Spirit Lake, Iowa in July is just one of the major events that only attracting thousands
more. In fact, Victory is emerging in ever greater numbers at Sturgis, Laconia and Daytona, too.
Sure, American Victory motorcycle may be new to the scene, but when it comes to a new brand of quality, they have certainly make a strong
impression among those who matter most.
